I would suggest waiting for Battlefield 3 because that is the original Battlefield and war game. The bad company series are console ports and Battlefield 3 on PC would be the full blown war action you would see in Battlefield 2.
Now, MOH or Black Ops. I played the beta. Didnt like it at first but then got used to the pace and it was actually really fun. Pretty balanced. There were some issues here and there, but overall it was a pretty good game.
Now the main question. If you like playing with your friends(my friends mainly play COD, but I dont), then get Black Ops, because probably so most of your friends would get that. If some of your friends are getting Medal of Honor, then you can question them if they played beta.
Do Not ask COD fans what to get. THEY ARE TOO MUCH INTO THE DAMN SERIES that they wont understand that the Battlefield series and some MOH games are much much much better.
Im getting black ops for the sole reason for playing online with friends, and having fun. There isnt much skill involved but it does get the fun done right for a while. I would rather get MOH but since my friends are getting Black Ops, then I just want to have some firmiliar people online then.
Overall, if you can stand the wait, wait for Battlefield 3 for PC(If your PC cant play BC2, then get BF3 for console, even if its dumbed down). If you like campaign on REAL events and an multiplayer experience that is just as realistic as Battlefield, then get MOH. If you want to play and socialize and have fun mainly, get Black Ops.
black ops because it has an awesome online you level up and buy guns, and there is multiplayer, and a super cool campaign, and it has super cool graphics. And if your not sure yet look up the multiplayer trailer on youtube.com and also there is a prestige edition pack that comes with a remote control car that has a camera in it witch comes with a little screen for the camera, i like to call it the spy car and to see pics of it search prestige edition black ops on google. Any Battlefield games are good.
